The Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian presidential meeting to be held in Sochi will be one more step to the consolidation of the Armenian side`s position on Nagorno-Karabakh and to isolation of Azerbaijan`s position, Gagik Minasyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction, told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The document that has for a long time been on the negotiating table has been accepted by the Armenian side, whereas Azerbaijan is maneuvering. "Azerbaijan has been doing so since the Saint Petersburg meeting. The Astana meeting made it clear that Azerbaijan`s policy was leading it to an international isolation, and the international community was increasingly disposed to the Armenian side`s position. The Sochi meeting will be one more step to the consolidation of the Armenian side`s position," Minasyan said.

He shares the concerns that Azerbaijan may go on with its warlike statements following the Sochi meeting and resume acts of sabotage on the line of contact. "Azerbaijan has the bottom dropping out of it and has nothing else to do. The three co-chair countries, and the international community propose approaches to the conflict that are too far from promises the Azerbaijani leadership has for many years been giving its people," Minasyan said. "The Azerbaijani authorities are now hostages to their own promises. So they are unable to accept the reasonable solutions proposed by the international community," the Armenian MP said.
