Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the Karabakh settlement was normal, Pashinyan told TASS on Friday after the talks.

“The meeting was normal,” he said, getting into the car.

Before leaving the hotel where the talks were held, Pashinyan agreed to take photos with passersby.

As reported earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Vienna for the first formal talks after four informal meetings on the margins of international organizations.

The meeting started with the participation of the foreign ministers and the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Later on Pashinyan and Aliyev held face-to-face meeting which was again followed by an extended meeting.

Pashinyan and Aliyev had three informal meetings on the margins of international summits. Pashinyan repeatedly stated those meetings cannot be considered formal talks on Karabakh settlement.
