The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) on Saturday hosted a delegation comprising members from the majority “My Step” Faction at the National Assembly of Armenia, and which is in Artsakh on a working visit.
Karabakh parliament speaker Ashot Ghoulyan stressed the peculiarity of ties with Armenia’s legislature.
Armenia National Assembly deputy speaker Lena Nazaryan, for her part, expressed confidence that the new parliament and government of Armenia will spare no effort in seeing to it that the interests of the people of Artsakh are protected. Also, she underscored the strengthening of sectoral ties as well as of collaboration between the two Armenian states.
Head of the My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, in turn, reflected on the main activities of this parliamentary faction. She stressed that in these activities, Artsakh’s security—which is closely linked to Armenia’s security—is the ultimate goal for them. Makunts spoke also about parliamentary cooperation.
Subsequently, members of the two parliaments continued their talks at the standing committees.
