It’s not that the President of Azerbaijan has become peace-loving. It’s just that Armenia has changed. This is what politician Arman Navasardyan said during an April 1 press conference when why it seems that Aliyev has become more peace-loving.

Navasardyan stressed the fact that even though the analysis of the Four-Day Artsakh War of April 2016, the happenings, the reasons for those happenings, the problems with intelligence and the issue of abruptness remain ambiguous, today, something has changed.

“True, there hasn’t been any breakthrough and the format of negotiations has remained unchanged, but something has changed, and we all feel it. I am absolutely not inclined to think that Aliyev’s political mindset has changed and that he is going to become peace-loving. Thing haven’t changed. It’s just that Armenia has changed. It has a legitimate government with which Aliyev can’t negotiate the way he used to negotiate with the former government and say Aghdam is the homeland of Azerbaijan.”

On Friday, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Vienna. After the meeting, Nikol Pashinyan declared that there was no winner or loser, and in his turn, Ilham Aliyev stated that the format of negotiations would remain unchanged.
