YEREVAN. – The April 2 is somehow a day symbolizing the union of Armenian nation and readiness to confront all the challenges, Deputy Defense Minister Gabriel Balayan said on Tuesday.

“We must always remember, and the heroic deed of our serviceman has to be an example,” he told reporters at Yerablur cemetery. “ The tension might be less now, but this does not affect combat readiness in any way”.

When asked what conclusions were made, how ready we are for war, since the April events of 2016 showed that the Armenian arsenal was 'naked', Balayan replied: “I don’t share the point of view that the Armenian arsenal was naked, because of the four-day April war we did not come out losers. And over the past few years, we have managed to sufficiently replenish both our arsenal and the degree of combat readiness. We are having the stage when the quantity is replaced by quality. During this time, there have been qualitative changes in terms of readiness, as well as weapons, ammunition. ”
