As a citizen and as a soldier, I am ready to execute every command of the Commander-in-Chief of Armenia. This is what Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan told journalists at Yerablur Military Pantheon on 2 April.

“We Armenians are the representatives of a heroic nation. When the time comes, we unite as one and become invincible. It is our duty to always be ready for war,” Marutyan said.

When asked if Yerevan Municipality would continue the tradition of taking the parents of fixed-term military servicemen to see their sons, the mayor of Yerevan gave an affirmative answer. “There will be another visit in May, and I might join them,” he said.
