Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan received Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski.

As reported the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies to Armenian News-NEWS.am, during the meeting, the parties touched upon the EU-backed programs under implementation and the future EU initiatives targeted at the development of new Armenia.

Hakob Arshakyan stated the importance of advancement of high technologies and emphasized the great expectations from the future programs and the prospects for effective cooperation.

The minister touched upon the actions for development of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, the programs for economic advancement and the creation of an ecosystem aimed at enhancing the engineering sector.

Several issues related to the activities being carried out for shaping and developing Armenia’s digital agenda and the opportunities for EU involvement in the process were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Hakob Arshakyan highlighted once again the importance of expansion of the partnership with the EU and stated that there are new paths for the development of new relations and that Armenia is ready for expanded and multilateral cooperation.
