I have been interrogated, including in this court. This is what Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan in Shengavit Administrative District on 3 April, responding to the question on whether he has been interrogated within the scope of the case of the events of 1 March 2008. However, based on the Prime Minister’s response, one thing wasn’t clear — was he interrogated as an accused-on-trial following the events of 1 March 2008 or within the scope of the case of overthrow of constitutional order under the case of 1 March 2008 instituted in 2018, after he assumed the office of Prime Minister?

After the events of 1 March 2008, dozens of supporters of first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan were sentenced to imprisonment, including incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who surrendered to police officers after staying underground for 1.5 years, was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment and was released by amnesty 2 years after the sentencing.

The first and third Presidents of Armenia have been interrogated within the scope of the case of overthrow of constitutional order under the case of 1 March 2008, while second President Robert Kocharyan is in custody within the scope of the same case.
