President of Iran Hassan Rouhani has criticized the US for blocking global financial channels through which it is trying to provide assistance to people devastated by floods and referred to it as “an unprecedented crime”, reports Mehr.

Talking about the devastating floods that took place in Iran over the past two weeks, Rouhani stated that foreign citizens and Iranian citizens living abroad aren’t able to transfer funds through the Iranian Red Crescent since the US government’s illegal sanctions don’t let organizations receive their amounts.

According to him, the US and those trying to benefit from the situation to achieve their goals, have committed an unprecedented crime. Rouhani emphasized that the Iranian people have proved that they will never retreat and won’t give way to the evil conspiracies.
