The Heritage parliamentary faction intends to turn to the Special Investigation Service of Armenia and demand that criminal proceedings be initiated in connection with the March 3 incident in Liberty Square in Yerevan.

The party is now preparing its report and plans to send copies thereof to a number of Armenian officials and international agencies. The Heritage faction member Armen Martirosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the party is determined to “explore every avenue.” “All the policemen guilty of the incident must be called to account,” he said. The Armenian Police issued a statement claiming that it was the MPs that provoked the incident.
