Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan held a meeting with Lebanese Minister of Higher Education Hassan Mneimneh. The Armenian foreign office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral educational cooperation, student exchange programs. Specific agreements are expected to be reached after the new Lebanese government has been formed.

Ambassador A. Kocharyan also held a meeting with Beirut Mayor Bilal Hamad. The sides pointed out further development of cooperation between the twin-cities, Beirut and Yerevan. The Armenian Ambassador handed over a letter of Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan to Mr. Hamad.

Ambassador A. Kocharyan visited the Haigazian University of Beirut. He held a meeting with President of the university, Dr. Paul Haidostian and attended a lecture on management culture delivered by Ralph Yirikian, General Manager, VivaCell Company.
