Any compromise, concessions and moves in the Karabakh peace process must be mutual, said spokesperson for the ruling Republican party.
Eduard Sharmazanov commented on statement by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Audronius Azubalis who said the Armenian side has to remove snipers from the contact line as a gesture of goodwill.
“All the steps in the Karabakh peace process should be mutual. Unilateral steps will yield no results,” he said recalling that it was the Azerbaijani side that violated ceasefire regime causing deaths of the Armenian servicemen after and before the Sochi meeting. “In this context I consider Azubalis’ call is inexpedient,” he stressed adding international community and head of the OSCE should give strict assessment of Azerbaijan’s actions instead of making such calls.
“If Azerbaijan wants war why is it negotiating? Let them unleash war and we will see how many regions they will lose this time,” he resumed.
