On March 18, NKR President Bako Sahakyan met with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Andronius Azubalis in Yerevan.

The officials discussed issues on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and regional processes during the meeting.

Sahakyan presented official Stepanakert’s stance on Karabakh conflict settlement, stressing the relations should be settled through negotiations and a direct dialogue. In this regard, the NKR President stressed the necessity of restoring political format of the negotiation process with Karabakh’s full-fledged membership. He considered it among the pivotal components of the conflict settlement process, NKR presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Bako Sahakyan also noted that the OSCE should pay more attention to destructive and anti-Armenian policy of Azerbaijan that to a great extent hinders both the conflict settlement and creation of atmosphere of mutual confidence in the region.

Both sides noted that the Minsk Group is the most efficient platform for the conflict settlement and any attempts to transfer it into other instances would only harm the process.

NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials participated in the meeting.
