The Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Masis Mayilian, has arrived in Australia on a working visit.

Within the framework of the visit, a number of meetings with Australian state, political and public figures, as well as with representatives of the Australian-Armenian community organizations and clergy are planned.

The Artsakh delegation on Sunday met with Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Australian and New Zealand, Archbishop Haykazun Najarian.

On the same day, the delegation met in Sydney with representatives of the Australian-Armenian youth organizations, during which Mayilian presented the achievements in the process of independent and democratic state-building in Artsakh. In this context, he stressed the importance of the Armenian diaspora’s contribution to the implementation of projects aimed at the development of the second Armenian state.

The sides also touched upon the processes of international recognition of Artsakh, and the pacific settlement of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict.

After the meeting, Masis Mayilian answered the numerous questions of those in attendance.
