A while ago, Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan of Yerevan court of general jurisdiction returned from the consultation room and rendered a decision to reject the motion of the attorney of former president of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer Land Defenders, army general Manvel Grigoryan to release Grigoryan in exchange of a pledge due to the groundlessness of the motion.

Grigoryan’s attorney Levon Baghdasaryan filed today a motion to the court to change the alternative preventive measure (remand) selected for Grigoryan with a pledge and offered up to AMD 25 million.

On June 6, Manvel Grigoryan was transferred from the Hospital of Convicts Penitentiary Institution to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center and later to Nairi Medical Center in extremely grave condition.

Manvel Grigoryan is charged with appropriating the assets allocated to take care of the needs of servicemen and volunteers protecting the borders of the Republic of Artsakh during and after the Four-Day Artsakh War in April 2016.
