In general, a helicopter is not a luxury but a means of transportation. But it would not be logical to depart on a helicopter from Sevan to Dilijan for a family event, and from Dilijan to Ijevan—to a friend’s birthday.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (RA), Nikol Pashinyan, wrote the aforementioned on his Facebook page, referring to a newspaper report that he had gone to Ijevan by helicopter to attend the birthday party of his childhood friend, majority My Step parliamentary faction member Vahe Ghalumyan.

“Prior to running the news, the journalist could have asked my spokesperson [about it],” Pashinyan added, in particular. “I’m also astonished at those people who trust such news.

“But really nothing has changed in the country for several media outlets. They, just as they were nourished [before], continue to be nourished from the (…) homeland plundering loot.

“But we are constrained by the law and the non-existence of effective institutions. These matters will also be resolved on the basis of law and right.

“I intend to use the RA Prime Minister’s helicopter any time when it will be needed for my work—just as I use the Prime Minister’s car, office, special link; there is no need to make an incident out of this.”
