STEPANAKERT. – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Artak Davtyan, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), on Thursday paid a visit—and accompanied by Artsakh Defense Minister and Defense Army (DA) Commander Karen Abrahamyan—to the permanent location of a DA military unit that is located in a southerly direction, and the frontline with Azerbaijan.
Davtyan got familiarized—on location—with the operative and tactical situation as well as the engineering and fortification activities that were carried out, inquired about the social and living conditions of the servicemen there as well as about the quality of food they are being served, and inspected the latest equipment and weapons that are introduced, the Artsakh Ministry of Defense news service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
At the end of the visit, Artak Davtyan and Karen Abrahamyan watched the military games with an artillery unit, and discussed the future courses of action toward synthesizing Armenia-Artsakh military cooperation and actions.
