STEPANAKERT. – A private conversation between the presidents of the National Assemblies of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and of Armenia, Ashot Ghoulyan and Ararat Mirzoyan, took place Tuesday in the parliament of Artsakh.

Welcoming Mirzoyan’s visit to Artsakh within the framework of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games, Ghoulyan stressed the importance of holding this event in Artsakh’s capital city of Stepanakert. Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned this from the press and information department of the Artsakh National Assembly (NA).

The head of Artsakh’s parliament touched also upon the close cooperation between the parliaments of Artsakh and Armenia, and expressed the confidence that as of September, this cooperation shall be  more intensified.

Armenia NA President Ararat Mirzoyan also touched upon the expansion of parliamentary ties between the two Armenian states. Furthermore, he considered the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games a symbolic event in Stepanakert, in terms of national unity.

The interlocutors reflected also on Monday evening’s rally at Renaissance Square in Stepanakert, and several other matters on interaction were on their agenda, too.
