YEREVAN. – The regulated work and cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities is already bearing fruit in the matter of foreign policy, but that is only the beginning. Lilit Makunts, head of the majority My Step faction in the National Assembly (NA), on Thursday noted this during the meeting—at the NA—with participants of the annual conference of the heads of the General Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the heads of the country’s diplomatic missions abroad.

She expressed confidence that these joint efforts will lead to new successes.

“The honorable ambassadors, deputies of the Seventh Convocation National Assembly of Armenia are primarily young, ready to work hard,” Makunts assured. “And we can and are ready to make our contribution with you—with love, devotion, and professionalism—at the platforms of parliamentary diplomacy.”

And referring to the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) peace process, Makunts noted that Karabakh is, first and foremost, Armenians who live in their own land and who need protection.

The head of the My Step faction stressed that they will raise the matter of ensuring the right to self-determination and the security of the people of Artsakh at all international platforms where parliamentary diplomacy will work actively.
