Italy’s leading Rai television channel presented a TV story about Armenia’s IT achievements as well as the upcoming World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2019) which Yerevan will host from October 6 to 9.

The Italian reporters touch upon Armenia’s technological development and note that Armenia experiences a boom in the field of IT and telecommunications in the last few years.

“Numerous startups and web companies are flourishing in the capital city Yerevan, and some of them are among the global leaders in their sector. This is one of the reasons why WCIT 2019 – one of the main meetings for experts and operators in the sector –will be held in Yerevan from 6 to 9 October,” the article says.

The report features interview with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, WCIT 2019 organizers and representatives of IT companies.
