YEREVAN. – Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory letter to Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan on his 65th birthday, Kocharyan’s office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Through your many years of state work, you have earned worthy respect, both among compatriots and abroad,” the letter reads, in part, “you have made a significant contribution to the development of modern Armenia and the ensuring of security and stability in Transcaucasia.”

Also, Putin stressed Kocharyan’s considerable role in the strengthening Armenian-Russian allied relations.
