Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan took part Monday at the festive events marking the 28th anniversary of the Artsakh Republic independence proclamation.
President Sahakyan visited the Stepanakert Memorial Complex and laid a wreath and flowers on the graves of freedom fighters perished for the independence and freedom of Artsakh and on the memorial of Artur Mkrtchyan, first chair of the Artsakh Supreme Council.
Artsakh second President Arkadi Ghukasyan, Armenian parliament speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Artsakh Republic National Assembly speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, state minister Grigory Martirosyan, high-ranking officials from Armenia and Artsakh, representatives of the Diaspora and foreign guests took part at the events.
