YEREVAN. – If the provisions are such that the approval of all full-member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is needed to grant such a status, then I assume that Armenia will block such a possibility—and which it says. And if by a majority of votes, then it’s possible. Such changes are being made to include as many countries as possible; countries that are not ready to become a full member in the CSTO for various reasons.

Russian military analyst Aleksandr Khramchikhin said this to 168 Zham (Hour) newspaper of Armenia, and referring to the National Assembly of Armenia Standing Committee on Foreign Relations’ positive conclusion on the draft for the ratification of the third protocol on making amendments to the CSTO charter—and whereby the matter of the status of observer and partner state in the CSTO is regulated, 168 Zham reported.
