Elections bring honor and glory to the country, and these elections will not be an exception, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan told reporters on Sunday speaking about the local self-government elections.

“I more than sure that we, as a country embarked on the path of democracy, will record another success. Any elections are an opportunity for the country to ensure progress, and I voted for the progress of our country,’ he said.

According to him, he followed the election campaign and the candidates basically have an idea about the problems of the city. At the same time, he noted that one cannot be satisfied with the work done since the city is a living organism, which always requires more. 

As reported earlier, Polling stations for local self-government elections kicked off in Artsakh on Sunday.

Voting will last until 8pm.
