U.S. President Barack Obama will address Americans via Facebook, reports the White House.

President Obama will travel to California on April 20 to hold a very special Facebook town hall about the economy.

“The event will be live streamed and questions will be taken over the web, so anyone can join. Facebook will be selecting questions to ask during the event and you can submit questions now by posting them on the Facebook event’s wall,” reads the statement posted on the website fo the White House.

Earlier this week Obama announced his intention to seek re-election in 2012.
