World War II was a struggle for the future of mankind, said Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who, together with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, took part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

“May 9 is our common holiday, our common memory of the need to fight and firmly stride towards victory together. This victory is a common achievement of all the peoples of the Soviet Union, as well as France, which was part of the anti-Hitler coalition. This is truly a worldwide holiday, as World War II was a struggle for the future of mankind,” he said.

According to the FM, May 9 is a holiday for everyone for the former Soviet states.

“I personally grew up with such memories. My grandfather was a fighter and participated in the Great Patriotic War,” he said.

Armenian and Russian FMs took part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
