Customs officers found cocaine and hashish in the bus going to Armenia at the Kazbegi customs checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border, Sputnik-Georgia reports, citing the Georgian Revenue Service website.

According to the service, the bus driver is an Armenian citizen.

"The customs officers, based on suspicions, decided to check the bus, and they found 149 grams of cocaine and 64 grams of hashish," the agency said. "The case has been referred to the Kazbegi Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further investigation."

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched a criminal case under the article which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
