We are located in Raqqa, in the northeast of Syria. There was an Armenian church here. After liberating Raqqa - declared by the Islamic State terrorists as their capital city - with the help of Western forces, the inhabitants who returned here found the city destroyed. The terrorists had dug a secret tunnel at the base of the destroyed Armenian church, the Voice of America reports.
David Eubank, head of the Free Burma Rangers charity organization which is helping rebuild the Armenian church in Raqqa, is a former US special forces soldier who, after completing his service, decided to help the national minorities in the Middle East.
Several families from the US have offered financial assistance, which has enabled to begin rebuilding the Armenian Church in Raqqa.
