The German government is expelling two employees of the Russian embassy amid the murder in Berlin of a former Chechen field commander, Reuters reported. 

Two employees of the Russian Embassy in Germany were declared non grata persons, since the Russian authorities, despite repeated and persistent demands, did not provide sufficient aid in the investigation of the murder.

“With this step, the German government is reacting to (the fact that) Russian authorities have not cooperated sufficiently in the investigations surrounding the murder of Tornike K. in a park in Berlin,” said the German foreign ministry on Wednesday.
