A few people in Istanbul have placed a memorial plaque in memory of Behbud Khan Javanshir, who organized the massacres of Armenians in 1918 in Baku.

According to the Turkish Anadolu, the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, the head of Beyoglu district, the deputy governor of Istanbul and many Azerbaijanis attended the unveiling of the memorial plaque.

On July 18, 1921, Armenian avenger, member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party Misak Torlakian, who was born in Trabzon, assassinated Behbud Khan Javanshir, who had organized the Armenian massacres in Baku.
