Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan today touched upon digital tools and innovative solutions as one of the major locomotives for anti-corruption reforms in her speech during the panel discussion held as part of the Eighth Session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption taking place in Abu Dhabi.

Talking about the fight against corruption in Armenia, Srbuhi Galyan introduced the toolkit of the unified website for publication of legal acts’ drafts (www.e-draft.am) created for the purpose of ensuring transparency of law-making and active participation of civil society and stated that there are currently over 45,000 subscribed users.

The deputy minister also stated that another example of an innovative solution in the fight against corruption in Armenia is the unified electronic platform for whistle-blowing (www.azdararir.am) through which a whistle-blower can anonymously inform a state body about a corruption crime. Since May 2019, the government has received over 180 reports on crime through the platform, and criminal cases have been instituted under 22% of the cases.
