YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia will hold parliamentary hearings on the draft law on Higher Education and Science. The bill is authored by the government.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, an MP of the ruling My Step alliance and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, said this during today’s parliamentary hearings on "Education Reforms, Upcoming Strategic Challenges.”

According to the MP, they have an agreement with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport to hold parliamentary hearings on this bill on January 15-20, 2020.

On December 4, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport initiated a series of public debates on the Higher Education and Science bill.
