A tragic incident took place in Yerevan yesterday. At around 7:10 p.m. the Central Division of the Police of Armenia received an alarm from the 1-03 ambulance substation of Yerevan according to which the 02 ambulance crew had received a call and left for Yerevan City Supermarket (5 Mashtots Avenue, Yerevan) where the crew found a man’s dead body.

According to Shamshyan.com, police found out that the deceased was 58-year-old Levon B. who stole the purse belonging to 26-year-old resident of Yerevan Dalar A. from her cart. Security officers noticed this and escorted the suspect to the manager’s office, and the man suddenly died in the office.

Police found the stolen item, and the investigator decided to designate a forensic medicine expert examination. The forensic doctor inspected the body on the spot and reported that no traces were detected on the body through an external inspection.
