YEREVAN. - Past newspaper of Armenia writes: According to Past newspaper, former commander of the NKR Defense Army Samvel Babayan is making attempts to get active again ahead of the upcoming electoral processes expected in Artsakh next year.
True, during a rally in Stepanakert in August of this year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan actually rejected Samvel Babayan in his proclaimed election principles, but Babayan needs—like air and water—an image of a "victim" in order to succeed in the parliamentary elections.
The Artsakh authorities are, as a rule, very drastic about Babayan's moves leading to destabilization.
The exclusion of stability and shocks in Artsakh is one of the consensus points of the Armenian and Artsakh authorities, according to which, as our sources claim, any move by Babayan that could damage the internal stability and security of Artsakh would cause a sharp reaction by both the Artsakh and the Armenia’s authorities.
