Representatives of Warsaw for many years undermined the work of experts, designed to understand the complex issues of the history of the two countries, as well as bilateral relations, TASS reported referring to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

According to her, aggressive rhetoric, demolition of monuments to the fighters against fascism, a singing role in the adoption of EU anti-Russian sanctions are direct evidence of this.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier noted the Soviet Union was the last European state to sign a non-aggression pact with Germany. Putin noted that Soviet troops entered Poland in accordance with the protocols attached to the non-aggression pact, but Poland itself had previously participated in the partition of Czechoslovakia, and by the time Soviet troops arrived in the country, the Polish government had lost control of the armed forces and ran. Polish Foreign Ministry, in turn, expressed concern about the words of Vladimir Putin. The statement of the diplomatic mission noted that the words of the Russian president allegedly constitute a false picture of events, and therefore cause concern and distrust.
