An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 hit the west coast of Canada, US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

According to updated data, the earthquake was recorded at 03.36 UTC. The quake epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean, 182 km. west of the Canadian municipality of Port Hardy. The hearth lay at a depth of ten kilometers.

The service reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.2, and the center of the earthquake lay at a depth of one kilometer.

There has been no information about possible casualties and destructions yet.
