YEREVAN. – I know Mr. Vanetsyan for a very long time, and he was isolated by the former authorities since part of the course of the revolution. He was suspected of having links with the revolutionary team, isolated, and to the best of my knowledge, there was an objective of launching a criminal case in connection with him. Alen Simonyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, said this in an interview with CivilNet, and regarding Artur Vanetsyan, former head of the National Security Service.

Simonyan denied the information that during the days of the revolution, now Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's team had received information about the actions of the then authorities through his connection with Vanetsyan.

"We didn't need to get information because our actions were open and public," Simonyan said, "whereas the actions of the former authorities were very predictable."
