YEREVAN. – Hrayr Tovmasyan, President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, has been charged. This was reported by the Special Investigation Service.

Tovmasyan has been charged under the Criminal Code article on abuse of power which negligently caused grave consequences. This is with respect to the same criminal case on which Norayr Panosyan, whose wedding best man was Tovmasyan, was charged.

According to respective statement by the Investigative Committee, information was obtained that while Hrayr Tovmasyan had served Minister of Justice, Norayr Panosyan and some other officials of the Ministry of Justice and Yerevan Municipality had abused their powers.
