December 28 was declared the day of national mourning, Tengrinews.kz reported.

“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared December 28, 2019 as a day of national mourning in connection amid the plane crash.

As reported earlier, 14 people were killed, 35 were injured as Bek Air flight from Kazakhstan’s Almaty to Nur-Sultan lost altitude during the flight and hit a concrete fence on the ground. There was a crash with the two-story building.

Bek Air and Fokker 100 planes’ flights have been suspended, Tengrinews reported.

According to the Interior Ministry, the identities of the 7 casualties have been identified so far, and the exact number of survivors will be available after rescue work is completed.
