YEREVAN. – I have serious concerns about the quality of justice today, too. Armenia’s Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan said this at a press conference today.

"I continue to see corruption risks," he said. "I continue to see issues of professional readiness and professionalism—not only in court, but also in other bodies."

According to Badasyan, we may have constitutional reforms in 2020.

"The Prime Minister has been presented with a draft decision envisaging work on forming a [respective] commission," he said. “It will be announced, perhaps late this year or early January, whereby the Ministry of Justice will have things to do to elect—by competition—the civil society representatives and legal and academic representatives of the constitutional reform commission to ensure inclusiveness of this commission's work. And in 2020, we may have constitutional reforms; there may be provisions that concern the Constitutional Court. ”
