Iran and other reional nations will take revenge for the assassination of Major General Qasem Soleimani, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

According to him, the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, by the criminal and aggressive US broke the hearts of the Iranian nation and other peoples of the region. The president added that the killing strengthened the determination of Iran and other countries seeking freedom to confront the excessive demands of the US and protect Islamic values, Tasnim reported.

“Undoubtedly, such a villainous and cowardly measure is another sign of the US’ frustration and incapability in the region and signifies regional nations’ aversion to this aggressive regime,” the president said adding that the US violated all principles and norms of humanitarian and international law in the most inhuman and cruel way.

Condemning the US barbaric crime, Rouhani paid tribute to General Qasem Soleimani, for his efforts to defend Iran’s territorial integrity and counter terrorism and extremism in the region.
