A magnitude 4,6 earthquake shook eastern coast of Honshu Island of Japan, U.S. Geological Survey reports.

The quake epicenter was 99 km south-east of Hachinohe city, at the dept of 40,7 km. No tsunami warming was issued.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the largest earthquake (9 magnitude) in the recent years hit the northeast of Japan, triggering a 10-meter tsunami and followed by several powerful aftershocks. The massive earthquake damaged cooling functions of the Fukushima nuclear plant, making the operator to pour seawater into reactors and let out radioactive air into atmosphere.

Over 15,013 people remain missing as Japan marked one month after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the country on March 11. According to latest data, the death toll reached 13,300. A total of 400 aftershocks were registered in the country following the massive quake.
