YEREVAN. - Past daily of Armenia writes: Interesting developments are taking place in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], where serious political processes are expected in the spring.

In particular, ahead of the start of the electoral process, Alexander Kananyan, a resident of the Karvachar region, went on a hunger strike against the construction of new HPPs in the region. According to our Artsakh sources, the latter is a member of presidential candidate [and serving FM] Masis Mayilian's political team.

By the way, in addition to the hunger strike, generally anti-HPP actions are being launched in Artsakh these days, whose basis, according to the same sources, is to create public dissatisfaction with another of the main presidential candidates, former Artsakh Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan. The latter is considered one of the main advocates of the development of the sector, and some HPPs are linked to his name.

In fact, it turns out that the [presidential] candidates have started black PR against each other before the official [election] campaign started.
