Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Borell discussed the situation concerning the nuclear deal and the Persian Gulf, reports the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to RIA Novosti.

The parties talked about the need to mitigate the tension in the Persian Gulf and region and touched upon the US government’s proposed plan for the settlement of the Palestine-Israel conflict that is known as “the deal of the century” and its “dangerous consequences” for the region, as well as issues related to Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
