STEPANAKERT. – The commission established by the order of the Minister of Defense of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conducted a service investigation to determine the circumstances of the January 30 death of a soldier of a military unit of the Defense Army.

According to the results of the investigation, a decision was made to discharge from the armed forces several senior officers, including the given military unit commander's deputy for moral and psychological security and the commander of the division, the Artsakh Ministry of Defense informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Along the lines of the same case, commander of the military unit and his deputies were subject to severe disciplinary penalties, and some senior officers were demoted.

The investigation is ongoing, and the given officers who have been penalized are not exempt from further criminal liability.
