Former US Vice President Joe Biden scored the maximum Democratic vote in eight states on Tuesday, while Bernie Sanders won the top prize in California.

Thus, the saturated team of US presidential candidates from the Democratic Party narrowed to two people, the Associated Press reported.

Biden became the leader in the states of Minnesota, Massachusetts, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Bernie Sanders, who began the race as a Democratic leader, won decisive victories in only four states: California, Vermont, Utah and Colorado.

The Democratic Party still has two more candidates - Mike Bloomberg and Elizabeth Warren.
