The Support to the Electoral Process in Armenia Project Steering Committee today held its concluding session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, as reported the news service of the Government of Armenia.

Among the attendees were representatives of the donor community, the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, the UN Resident Coordinator and representatives of the UNDP who provided support within the scope of the Support to the Electoral Process in Armenia Project.

Expressing gratitude to the representatives of all the countries having made their contributions to the Project for their participation, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that these sessions and meetings allow to keep the joint efforts for improvement of electoral processes in the spotlight.

United Nations Resident Coordinator Shombi Sharp stated that the joint efforts helped hold transparent elections in Armenia in 2018, and Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan stressed the importance of the Project and presented the main results and achievements.

During the session, the representatives of the UNDP presented the results of the 2019 Support to the Electoral Process in Armenia Project and earmarked the future stages of the Project until the end of this year.
