Armenia will continue to provide services for AIDS treatment, regardless of the number of employees who have submitted resignations. This is what Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan said in response to deputies’ questions during a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament today.

Torosyan also stated that the Ministry of Healthcare is ready to discuss several issues under the condition that nobody talks to the ministry with ultimatums. Moreover, the minister noted that the new structure to be formed after the merger will be given a name that will reflect all the functions that the new structure must perform.

On January 30, the Government of Armenia adopted a decision to merge the AIDS Prophylaxis Republican Center CJSC and Nork Infection Clinical Hospital CJSC, yet the decision sparked negative reactions. The decision served as a reason for many employees of the Center to submit their resignations.
