YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The power has discussed that the failure of the [forthcoming] constitutional referendum will have compulsory consequences for the political team—starting with a thorough change in the composition of the government, ending with MPs renouncing their [parliamentary] mandates.

Our source in the power said a benchmark has been set. If the power fails to collect at least 500,000 votes, everyone will feel its "consequences" on his own skin.

And what will happen if you collect 650,000 and more? (…) our source (…) explained that they will start ruthless actions against the opponents of the power—starting with the media that criticize them, ending with politicians, especially radicals.

We asked: And what they are doing to prevent the referendum from failing, as an active campaign does not seem to be going on. "We'll meet [with the people] for a couple of days, we'll say, 'If you don't want the ‘yes’ to win, then be prepared for the former ones to come back,’ and people will go in fear, vote for 'yes.'"
