The results of the activities of the General Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in 2019 were summed up during a session chaired by Chairman of the Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan today, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee.
Among the attendees were Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, acting Director of the National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan, as well as other representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the National Security Service.
During the session, Deputy Heads of the General Military Investigation Department Mayilyan and Aslanyan presented the results of the activities in 2019, analyzed the completed activities, earmarked the omissions and shortcomings and made proposals for eliminating them, and Head of the Oversight Department of the General Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee Pertch Ayvazyan presented the state of crime in the armed forces and the results of conducted analyses.
In his speech, Vice-Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Head of the General Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee Artak Krkyasharyan stated the ensuring of effectiveness of investigations and quality of preliminary investigations and increase of public confidence in preliminary investigation bodies as priority objectives.
Summing up the discussion, Grigoryan gave specific assignments to increase effectiveness.
